I made this recipe and added it to tasty planner because I thought it sounded good and easy. I thought it was just okay. I think that it needed more tuna and I think that the directions to leave in the oven for 25 minutes was too long because some of the noodles that were soft became crispy after I took them out of the oven. It was so so. After a little tweeking it would be a good recipe.
I ended up nixing the cookies, using about 2 1/2 cups of milk, and a whole lot more mozzarella (and squash) than called for. Also, I used frozen squash and it worked out just fine (and took a lot of time out of the preparation). I added some olive oil to the puree because it just seemed too thick even with the added milk... maybe it was just me, but it worked out just fine wither way. Like DELICIOUS just fine. :) 5 stars to this recipe. MAKE IT.
SOOOOOOOOOOOO SWEET. Should be listed as a dessert! Too sweet for my tastes (and my stomach, unfortunately), and the coconut adds a weird and somewhat unpleasant texture to the topping ? I'd have preferred an extra cup or two of nuts instead. I probably won't be making this again. I do have a sweet tooth, but I like interesting flavors with my sweet, and prefer things like Red Vines over chocolate and fruit sorbet over ice cream, so I guess I'm not into super rich things. This was too rich for me. However, if you're into super rich desserts, this might be for you! Also, I used canned yams ? I think if I'd used fresh, it wouldn't have been as sweet. Oh. Pet peeve. The orange ones are yams. Not sweet potatoes. Those are white. :)
Nothing special, just good roasted potatoes with a little seasoning. I used regular russet potatoes, btw, and a lot of them. It ended up taking close to two hours to cook properly but I don't know if that's because I used different potatoes or what. I also increased the amount of herbs/butter proportionate to the amount of potatoes I used, but I could barely taste anything but the butter. I'd add lemon juice to the lemon gratings in the future, and maybe some basil or rosemary. Anyways, it's the kind of bare-bones recipe you can play with, which is fun. No big complaints, and if you don't have your own roasted potato recipe this is a good enough place to start.
This was absolutely delicious. It's SUPER spicy though ? if you're new to Indian food you might want to start with something a little less hardcore. However, if you enjoy strongly spiced dishes, this is for you! I used ground cinnamon, btw, and had no problems (in case you don't want to buy stick cinnamon special). I pretty much just threw everything in the food processor for like ten seconds and cooked it up and let it simmer until my husband got home. If it does end up too spicy for your taste, try adding a cup or two of water and letting it cook off. :) Anyways, my husband isn't even into spicy dishes and he loved this too! We will definitely be having this again. FYI ? depending on your portion preference, this is probably not enough for 4 people ? we both had relatively small portions tonight (it's late) and there's only enough left over for 1 more portion. Which we totally just flipped a coin for. :p Recommend highly!
This was like... barely edible. A lot of the proportions seemed off, for starters, and then it was just like... ew. It was creamy and mushy and sicky sweet in a way potatoes should never be. We ate the thing because our food budget is tapped out for the month, but it was pretty gross. I pretty much dumped ridiculous amounts of hot pepper on it in order to be able to eat it at all. :( It was a good idea, it just didn't pan out at all. If you decide to try it, definitely use less honey and less sour cream. Or maybe no honey and no sour cream. It would be better if it were crispy and spicy. Sorry, author. :(
Thanks for your sharing, it's useful. http://windowcoveringsslidingglassdoors.com/
