FTM 2012 Total Failure; can't access on-line tree either - Family Tree ...

I believe this was the early March required update of FTM although I cannot pinpoint the exact date. The update did not complete. The blue bar went about 15% & quit. Now the online tree when I try to add information from Ancestry gets a 'syncing tree' and refuses to add anything NOR does it show me the 'Save in your Shoebox' option anymore.

You can't open FTM 2012 because it is a required update yet it fails with NO ERROR MESSAGE!!!!!!

Family Tree Maker is Updating This Tree

The tree "... my tre ..." is unavailable while it is being updated by Family Tree Maker. Other trees may be available while this is happening. Cancel Update

When you click on cancel update, it warns that if you cancel it -- your FTM & Ancestry trees won't be in sync. Well duh! That's better than not being able to open FTM at all.

I tried to open FTM 2012 AGAIN and I *still* get nowhere. And yes, I tried closing my antivirus. Didn't help one bit.

To say I'm aggravated is an understatement. I need some help here. I can't set anything in "Tools" of FTM because it won't even open the program.

What in the heck am I supposed to do now? I can at least get to my on-line tree. But that's it. Help!
